Our Visitor Centre on Dunsdale Road in Selkirk, stocks products manufactured in the mill, gift shop and fabulous Coffee Shop with delicious home baking!

#WeavingWednesday - Buchanan Blue

#WeavingWednesday - this week we're giving you a glimpse of the Buchanan Blue tartan on the loom. For close on 700 years the lands of Buchanan on the east side of Loch Lomond were possessed by the Buchanans. In Gaelic the name is known as Mac a' Chanonaich meaning "Son of the Canon". The Scottish Borders Walking Festival is on next month! There are a variety of guided walks taking place, with beautiful views promised, in our local area of Selkirk and over to the Valleys of Ettrick & Yarrow. Here at Lochcarron of Scotland we are proud sponsors of the Walking Festival. The Selkirk Flood Protection Scheme free & easy stroll on Thursday 12th September finishes up at our Lochcarron Visitor Centre, where our mill tours are available at a reduced rate to walkers.
