As you may or may not know, Liam Williams from Oddfellows studio (based within Shure 5 Studios) has been drafted out to Toronto to work on a album for the next few weeks. After watching Liam develop over the past 17 months, listening to his sound get better and better and his pure determination to be one of the best at what he does, I can see why they have got him on that plane. This is a massive opportunity and we would like to wish Liam Williams all the best whilst you are out there. See you in a few weeks and don't forget the stick of rock..... Need a rehearsal room? Shure 5 Studios has been going since 2012, slowly building a place to come and practice your talent. From Solo artists, duo's and bands to drummers, guitarists, bassists, keyboardist or vocalists wanting to hire a room to get in that little extra session on their own. Solo Artists = £7.50 per hour. Duo's = £20 for 2 hour or £30 for 4 hours. Bands = £30 for 4 hours. After not putting my prices up for the past 3 years i did get told i was to expensive the other week when i posted, so a little breakdown if you are in a band: Room is £30 (4 hour session) Band of 3 = £10 each (£2.50 per hour) Band of 4 = £7.50 each (£1.87 per hour -roughly) Band of 5 = £6 each (£1.50 per hour) Band of 6 = £5 each (£1.25 per hour) Band of 7 = £4.28 (roughly) (£1.07 per hour - roughly) yes we do get a 7 piece band in here Band of 8 = £3.75 (£0.94 per hour) Band of 9 = £3.33 (roughly) (£0.83 per hour - roughly) yes we do get a 9 piece band in here If this is too expensive then this isn't the place for you! Open from 9am - 11pm Monday - Friday Saturday 9am - 5pm. (Night time for gigs) Sunday 12 - 4pm (Night time for gigs) Bookings in advance only. Gigs? Need a purpose built 'Live' stage/venue to put on your own gig? in 2014 we built or 'Live' stage/venue which holds 100 people for intermet gigs/EP or Album launches. Ideal way of putting on your own gig and making some money for yourselves. Even organising your own video shoot? We are fully licenced so you can have a beer whilst in rehearsal too if you wish - just leave your car at home and get one of your band mates to drive :-) We are based in Royton, Oldham. Little bit about what we do....... Shure 5 Studios started March 2012. Building the business up slowly in order to make it a place to come and rehearse in one of our rooms. John Broadbent you are a superstar. What a awesome gig you arranged last night. Charity night for 'Mouse' which you pulled off and should be proud of yourself. 5/6 months of planning and making sure things looked right, the right acts for the night arranged and everyone could come and enjoy the night. You did it! Thanks to Carl Morris, Tony Daly, Ben Warwick, Charlie Whittaker for putting on a brilliant show. Also, David Lees for getting up, fantastic.
