Page to promote the new Cloughmore Centre (Kilbroney Event Space) in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor including upcoming events.  Newry and Mourne District Council secured funding from the EU'S INTERREG IVA Programme as part of the East Border Region Tourism Development Plan to develop an Event Space at Kilbroney Park, now known as Cloughmore Centre.
The aim of the Event Space is to improve the visitor experience at Kilbroney Park and provide an amenity building at Kilbroney for local events and/or activities. There will be a series of events scheduled until May 2015 including family and children's events, educational talks, historic exhibitions, mountain bike seminars and seasonal workshops.
The Cloughmore Centre is available for hire, for more information or bookings of the venue space, please contact Kilbroney Park. Tel 028 4173 9017.

Tree of the Year - Woodland Trust

The winner will compete against trees from all over the Continent for the title of European Tree of the Year, organised by the Environmental Partnership Association. The Holm Oak Tree at Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor has made the final 6 - but now needs your votes The competition is open to any living tree in the UK that has a story behind it and The Woodland Trust has selected this much loved Holm Oak in Kilbroney Park from numerous entries, as one of the shortlisted six finalists for Northern Ireland’s Tree of the Year. The winning tree from each country will receive a £1,000 TLC grant; while any tree receiving over 1,000 votes will receive £500.
