Welcome to our page. We are a part of Wyevale Garden Centres, bringing joy and inspiration to everyone's garden. The centre began life as a tomato growing nursery and over the years has developed into a popular local attraction known for its huge variety of top quality products and much-frequented restaurant. Woburn Sands itself was originally known as Hogsty End - a deeply unromantic name which was changed in Victorian times to reflect the sandy soil of the area. Nearby is Woburn Abbey, ancestral home of the Dukes of Bedford and current home to lions, tigers and the like in the magnificent safari park in its grounds!
We sell top quality growing stock, gardening products and garden furniture as well as birdcare products, floristry, houseplants and books. We also have a fabulous giftware and greeting card department and at Christmas, an inspiring display of decorations, lights and trees. Our family-friendly restaurant is the ideal place to relax and unwind, read the daily newspapers or surf the web with our free wi-fi. It sells delicious home-made breakfasts, snacks and lunches and is a well known venue for local parties and group meetings. Our staff are all friendly and helpful horticultural experts who like nothing better than dispensing good practical advice to expert and amateur gardeners alike.
