Leslie and Glenrothes club did very well today considering their success was confined mainly to the morning as the afternoon was too windy. Their 10 anglers did well on their own bag limit of 2 fish each, getting a total of 20 fish kept and 30 returned for a nice round and impressive 50 total. All sorts of flies were taking fish and the water has cooled down again a bit.

Phalley and Sandie got 22 to the boat today - mainly on ally McCoist I believe. It's likely yesterday's stocking helped but very well done anyway guys.

Put in another good size stocking of rainbows today. This follows a large stocking last month on 19th July and a normal one on 21st June so plenty of fish in over the last two months. The water temp has gone up a degree or so more than last week when fish were definitely on more but despite that the fishers, on average, are doing not bad.

14 to the boat for one pair last evening and bank fisher had 6 and lost 2.

Again the fish are coming on with most fishers on bank and boat getting fish. Yellow owl and sedge patterns doing well. Just to continue the bird theme from yesterday I saw a kingfisher on the out spill of the reservoir this morning. On a river or stream it's a nice sight but I've never seen one on the reservoir or other still waters in the area before.

The fish are back to normal fighting vigor with the drop in temp and as the oxygen saturation of the water increases. We still have an osprey (or two) but ospreys will head back to Africa on the autumn migration soon. We also had a lone Canada goose today which sat on the water for ages all the way into the evening.

Fish up much more over last week or so with that being reflected in the catch numbers. A boat and a bank angler recent;y got 12 and 11 respectively to pale blue metalic Dawl Bachs and small size GRH sedges.

some of you will remember Victor Kiam, he liked the company so much he bought it. well, Richard has done the same, I signed the paperwork today and as of Friday he will be the new owner as its time for me to put my wellie's into retirement along with myself. I enjoyed taking the reservoir from being a redundant piece of water to create a well-run fishery, I would like to thank all the clubs and the individual anglers who supported the fishery and to the lads who helped me to build it up to the quality fishery that it is a big thanks to JIMMY, MATHEW, and TONY, from the beginning they worked selflessly to get the fishery up and running, lots of other lads pitched in when they could, again a big thank you to everyone, time for me to take a back seat and let Richard take the reigns I hope he can continue the success the fishery has enjoyed. no doubt I will pop up now and again maybe even have a cast one last thing lads if you could take my number off your phone's and use Richards as on Carriston page, I don't mind passing on a message for the lads who forget now and again, now it's time to get my ears ben't wi the wife to catch up on all the jobs that never got done, Retirement aye right

Fish are up more in the water now with some being taken on dries. As the water temp nearer the surface decreases it should bring more up over the next period.

Fishing like it used to be! It's the wee lad's first time today. He then went on to get a fish to take back and show his family and he lost one at the net too.
