Didlington Doodles We are small hobby breeders of what we believe to be the best dogs ever - Labradoodles!

We started Didlington Doodles about 8 years ago when we bred a litter of F3B labradoodles from our first wonderful girl, Stroodle, and a litter of F1's from our special black labrador bitch called Pindy.  From then on we have become obsessed with trying to breed a limited number of very special pups from our properly health tested parents.  Above all, our dogs all have wonderful kind temperaments, love children and have no aggression. They make superb family pets for those that enjoy and active lifestyle and want to have an extra member of the family - namely a clown!

We breed True miniature F1B's, black, cream and parti coloured (black and white), Medium F1B's, cream and occasionally chocolate and Standard F2B's - mostly silver and black.  We have our own stud dogs - Digby who is just the best (!) Standard Silver F3B, Zeberdee and Merlin who are miniature parti coloured poodles both imported from a very good breeder in Germany, and our new boy Tao who is a miniature/medium chocolate F1B labradoodle.

We hope you enjoy this page!

The Didlington Doodles at Home!

I can't thank you all enough for your thoughts and kind words after my posting yesterday regarding the terrible loss of our wonderful Hector. I am very touched by the lovely things said and so amazed by how many people are connected to our DD page. Have a good day everyone and out of darkness comes light. I am going to smile today and remember all the fun times we had with Hector and the joy he brought into our lives and others. A friend of mine posted this today and it is so poignant. "From time to time, people tell me, “lighten up, it’s just a dog”, or, “that’s a lot of money for just a dog”. They don’t understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for “just a dog”. Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a dog”. Many hours have passed and my only company was “just a dog”, but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by “just a dog” and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of “just a dog” gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you, too, think it’s “just a dog”, then you will probably understand phases like “just a friend”, “just a sunrise”, or “just a promise”. “Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. “Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of “just a dog” I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a dog” but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. “Just a dog” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day. I hope that someday they can understand that it’s not “just a dog” but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “just a human.” So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog”, Just Smile :) , because they “just don’t understand."

It is with huge sadness that we had to have our wonderful boy Hector put to sleep today due to a freak accident. We are absolutely devastated as he was such a special dog, but at the end of the day there was no choice and it was the right thing to do. Hector gave us some exceptional puppies and was much loved by everyone who met him. He had a wonderful life with us and was never happier than when running in the fields with the other dogs and messing about in the river. We were very lucky to have him. RIP our beautiful boy, we'll never forget you.

Due to a 100% turnaround and a lifestyle change of plan we are very sadly going to have to cut down our numbers and will therefore be looking for exceptional pet homes next year for some of our older adult dogs. Experienced country homes preferred and no young children. If interested do please get in touch.

We are delighted to say that the gorgeous Dottie is off to her lovely new home next week. Our final pup is looking for a fun, lively, happy, crazy but calm family to match her character! Otta is just the most super pup and was going to stay with us as we considered her the pick of the litter, but for personal reasons we have decided now is not the right time to add to our Doggie Family. We are planning a break from babies for a while and a little rest! Otta is very intelligent and will love training and lots of inter-reaction, but we do not consider her suitable for a family with very young children as she is quite exuberant - which could be a little disconcerting for littlies!! Otta is now 10 weeks old and ready to leave for her new home any time now. Both Otta's parents are here to be met - they both have excellent health testing and wonderful kind temperaments. Otta has been fully vet checked, microchipped and has had her first vaccination. She is a big puppy so we think she will mature to about 22"/23" at the shoulder. If interested do please get in touch either via pm or on my mobile 07776 304857

Pups, Mum's and Aunties in the garden on Tuesday

Fun times in the garden today with the pups and Mum's/Aunties etc - these are the two beautiful pups that we have available at the moment. Dottie and Otta. Enjoy! :)

The beautiful Otta is offered for sale to a very special home. She is one of Chime and Hector's pups and was born on 2nd September, so is approaching 10 weeks old. We were going to keep Otta, but due to taking note of what I learned on my recent NHS course to help with my ME and Fibromyalgia, I have sadly decided that this is not the the right time for me to keep a puppy. Otta is the most lovely puppy, full of fun, has a lovely low shedding coat, is very bright and will make a wonderful addition to the right family. She will be standard sized measuring about 22"/23" at the shoulder when fully grown. Both parents have excellent heath testing and above all wonderful temperaments. Otta has been fully vet checked, microchipped and has had her first vaccination. She is ready to leave us anytime now. We do not sell our pups to families where they will be left alone for long periods of time during the day, and we don't advise families with very young children to take on a puppy. Our puppies are also only sold as pets and not for breeding. If interested please contact us for further information.

Molla has made the first part of her journey to Lapland. Here she is in Finland where she has met a relation of hers, 4yo Gibson, another Didlington Doodle, whose Dad is Digby and Mum, Meeshka. Apparently she has travelled like a pro and been a little star! We're so proud of you little Molla! :)
