Self Harm Awareness is about spreading the message that Self-Injury is a complicated coping mechanism that no one should be belittled for. This page stands to help defeat stigma surrounding it.

This page is about spreading awareness of self-harm of any kind. It is about supporting those who are struggling with it but also about creating an understanding of it for parents, friends, relatives etc of the person who self-harms. We recognise that this coping mechanism affects everyone around them and so we want to support all involved. We also recognise that this coping mechanism does not discriminate based on age; anyone can go through this.

No matter your age, race, sexuality, gender identity, or any personal characteristic of yourself, we are here for you. Please feel free to message us but if you are desperate for support quickly, please go onto this website to find more immediate support: http://www.befrienders.org/

Also, in a case of an emergency, please contact your emergency services and ensure you are not alone. This group is not a professional organisation; we are recovering ourselves.

I hope that you find this page helpful.
Remember you are all beautiful, strong and inspirational human beings and we are so incredibly proud of you for every step you take.

Stay safe.
Love from all the admins here at SHA x

June is Pride Month. If you’re gay, you're valid. If you’re bisexual, you're valid. If you’re pansexual, you're valid. If you’re asexual, you're valid. If you haven't quite figured it all out, you're valid. You are valid no matter who you love. Labels aren't important, but you are. Happy Pride Month. <3 Becky.
