A warm welcome awaits you at our countryside Bed & Breakfast, The Steadings, in Kettlebridge on the outskirts of the quaint village of Kingskettle, Fife The Steadings Bed & Breakfast provides a relaxed & comfortable countryside retreat.
Just off the A92, with a semi-rural location we are 3 miles away from Ladybank Village where direct train routes to Edinburgh, Perth & Dundee are plentiful. With public transport links by bus & train or your own car you can explore the surrounding historic villages such as Falkland, with it's palace, gardens, walks , craft shops & village pubs & St Andrews, the home of Scottish Golf & it's wealth of fine pubs, restaurants cafes & shops or explore the glorious East Neuk fishing villages with stunning beaches that surround us. Alongside this, on our doorstep, are refreshing & interesting countryside walks & car routes that let you discover the wealth of activities Fife has to offer.
Around 35 Minutes from the iconic Forth Bridges you can add visits to the lovely villages of North & South Queensferry & Edinburgh to your stay.
Here at The Steadings we offer 2 en-suite rooms & a 2 room suite, en-suite, perfect for groups of friends or a family all offer superking or twiin bed options. All of our rooms are equipped with television, clock, hairdryer, ironing facilities on request, hospitality tray; toiletries; and fresh crisp linens and soft fluffy towels. We also have adequate off street private parking.
Your four legged friend is also welcome by prior arrangement.
With a separate private guest lounge/breakfasting room it gives guests the option of relaxing in a more open space. With comfortable sofas & a cosy feel guests can make a nice cuppa with the facilities provided in the lounge/breakfasting room at their leisure & enjoy some home baking. There is ample reading material from our large selection of books as well as various board games or if you prefer watch television outwith your room.
With locally sourced fresh breakfast ingredients & eggs from our very own family of hens our cooked breakfast & range of fresh fruit, yoghurts, & cereals provide our guests with a hearty start to the day.
Rooms start from £35 per person per night and this includes breakfast.
Not only a great base for tourists we are a great base for walkers with a fantastic array of local routes direct from our doorstep. golfers will enjoy the many wonderful courses of St. Andrews to the more local Ladybank Championship course.
Our location also provides an ideal base for those visiting on business to the local areas such as Glenrothes & Cupar, with long stay rates available by arrangement.
We provide a good base for those visiting St Andrews University on campus walk-rounds or visiting students & also for guests who are attending a wedding or special occasion at one of the many wonderful surrounding venues such as Balbirnie House, Kilconquhar Castle, Fernie, Castle, Craigsanquhar House or the Lomond Hills Hotel to name but a few.

It is one of those cosy productive days at The Steadings. Some lovely repeat guests staying tonight and we are prepped for a full weekend of loveley new arrivals from tomkrrow for a busy weekend. So its heads down to create some great packages for next year and deal with some lovely new winter bookings that have come in. There's home made soup on the go and homemade bread doing it's thing in the bread maker. The kids are snoozing and Mr D is refreshing out kitchen cupboards and making all new wonderful copper handles and accessories. There's just something about cosy autumn days like these. Luxurious stay where every need was thought of and attention to detail was extremely high. Lovely, lovely lady welcomed us and couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! Couldn’t believe that somewhere as nice as this accepted dogs and not with lots of rules but with open arms and just as welcoming of them as me! Felt like a home from home and I will be coming back! The only problem I had was the fact that we only had one night, could have stayed longer and will next time! 10/10! Thank you, from Hayley & Daisy the Golden Retriever (also gives 10/10, walk on the doorstep with no need for lead or worry of traffic).
What a fab morning here at The Steadings. We welcomes action challenge team to stay last night as they were using us as a pit stop for this year's Tesco Great walk. A fantastic event from Lands End to John O Groats. It's been fab being a part of it all and so glad we provided some much needed comfort for the support team.

Our lovely guests Claude and Veronique Langlade are here for a 12 night stay. Almost a week in they have experienced some.fantastic day visits. Glencoe, Braemar and it's fantastic gathering, the Anstruther pleasure cruise, tried lots of cuisine and still have so much more set to do. It just shows you how great a location we have . Just 2 hours in lots of directions you can experience so much of bonny Scotland and make a me.prpid of the fabulous villages and towns on our door step also.
