Description
Hertford Combat Academy is a purpose built gym with classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. Hertford Combat Academy opens its door to the public for attendance to a variety of martial arts classes.
Located on the outskirts of central Hertford we have a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and our gym has been designed to train all ages and skill levels alongside one other.
Whether it’s to come and improve fitness, learna new skill or even to have aspirations to become a fighter, Hertford Combat Academy is for everyone.
Essentially a member’s based training facility, with also the option to attend one-off sessions, Hertford Combat Academy will have the feel of a gym and dojo combined.
HCA focuses on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and MMA. HCA acts as an umbrella for Jai Dee Muay Thai and an affiliate of Michael Russell BJJ. Jai dee means 'good heart' which matches the ethos of hard work and humility that will be cultivated at the academy. Michael Russell BJJ is a well established UK Brazilian Jiu Jitsu affiliate which has produced black belts, competitors and professional fighters alike.

The gym will be having top Thai trainer Jompop Kiatphontip do a seminar on the 20th of this month.... don't miss the opportunity to train with this fantastic coach with a wealth of knowledge 👏🏻🙏🏻 Places are very limited (12 people max) and I'm going to be doing it on a first pay basis. If you don't pay up front you won't have a spot reserved. It's £25 per person.

Great time had by all at the Micheal Russell seminar this weekend! Big congrats to Dan earning his purple belt, and Charlie and Rich on gaining blue belt status. Also well done to all the juniors who graded. Due to low attendance numbers, this is the final week of daytime boxing (12pm Tuesday and Thursday) Anyone who does still wish to attend daytime classes will have the option of coming to 12pm Muay Thai (mon weds and Friday) Boxers and BJJ guys wanting to just use open mat will also be welcome. *members notice* As you all know Hertford Combat Academy doesn't tie our members in with a direct debit scheme like most gyms with a monthly fee, instead we just ask our members for a standing order payment. However from the 1st of November 2017 if you cancel your membership without any understandable reason (serious illness or injury) then if you wish to restart it you will be charged an additional £30 administration fee to do so. Members cancelling will also have the £10 per session pay as you go option. Many thanks Andy
