Walnut Hill Equine Vets, headed by Bridget Gatehouse BVSc MRCVS and Jack Wallace BVM&S MRCVS, are dedicated Equine Veterinary Surgeons
We aim to provide all of our clients with the very best care that the equine veterinary profession has to offer.

We provide a full range of services from routine vaccinations and tooth rasping, up to the very highest level of specialist equine care. We have a team of world renowned specialist equine surgeons that will visit our clinic on a weekly basis to attend to the cases that we feel require referral.

Bridget Gatehouse graduated from Liverpool University in 1995 and Jack Wallace graduated from Edinburgh University in 2008. Bridget has worked in solely equine practice for 19 years while Jack has worked solely in equine practice since graduating 8 years ago.

Whilst Bridget Gatehouse and Jack Wallace have over 20 years of combined equine veterinary experience, they also have considerable experience in the competition sphere. Bridget has ridden 6 winners as an amateur flat jockey. Jack rides as a point to point jockey, has ridden 3 winners and trains point to pointers at his father's farm.

Jack's Grandfather Richard L.Wallace BVM&S MRCVS, was also a Veterinary surgeon, graduating from Edinburgh University in 1945 and worked as a large animal veterinary Surgeon in Henley in Arden.

The name 'Walnut Hill' derived from the farm that Jack grew up on. His grandfather on retiring as a Veterinary Practitioner assisted Jack's father on the farm.

If you seek the best care for your horse, be it your life-long friend and pet, or your Event horse that is looking to take the next step up the ladder, then we are here to attend to your horse's needs.

Well done to all Walnut Hill clients that competed at HOYS this year. Some very impressive results came through during the week, with a win for Mennell Watson Euro Sport Horse and his stallion, Whisper in the Wind, in the Accumulator class and a 3rd for Robert smith showjumper with Ilton in the Grand Prix. Adam Botham jumped into 2nd place in the Newcomers final and the Wells family (Helen Wells, Georgia Reynolds & Mark Wells) at Weston Lawns Stud with their homebred mare 'Heartstring' gaining 2nd in the Foxhunter Championship under Jamie Wingrove Showjumper. Georgia Lovett with her top horse Westend Gunner rolled a few costly poles in the Grade C championship following a very successful season. Great to have been able to support them all in the lead up to Horse of the Year Show 2017.
