At Millie & Rubys Dog Bakery we produce handmade natural dog biscuits and cakes that are free from additives, preservatives, sugar, salt & colourings You probably won’t be surprised to hear that Millie & Ruby are my beautiful (if not a bit mad!) pet Border Collies. Millie is a 4 year old black & white traditional collie & Ruby is a 3 year old red & white collie. Ruby is very food orientated and a little hyperactive so I started baking her biscuits for training that didn't contain all the nasty additives etc that shop bought ones do. I developed a range of homemade treats and biscuits that would help her train without becoming more hyperactive. This is where the idea of home baked dog treats was born.
Here at Millie & Ruby’s Bakery we are passionate about what we feed our dogs and cats and much research goes into the ingredients we use. We provide a range of handmade dog treats that are free from artificial additives, flavourings and colourings. We do not use sugars or salts and our treats are baked in such a way that we do not need to use preservatives either. We use Rye flour in most of our recipes which is wheat free and low in gluten. The oil we use is coconut oil which is good for coats, skin and digestion amongst many other health benefits.
Most of our ingredients are organic and sourced locally where possible and we aim to make most of our treats as low fat as possible. No cocoa or theobromine is contained in our products as they are very harmful for dogs.
All of our ingredients are of human food grade which means we would not feed anything to our animals that would not be fit for a human to eat. Because all of our biscuits are freshly baked without preservatives we recommend that you keep them in an airtight container, this way the will keep for longer. They will keep in an airtight container for up to a month (unless otherwise stated) & are able to be frozen for up to three months.
Our treats are made by hand at our home based dog bakery which has undergone rigorous inspection by Trading Standards (GB193/717) and has been DEFRA approved as a petfood plant under the Animal By Products Regulations.

🎅🎄Guess what we've just launched on our website😱 🎄🎅 Our advent calendars are available as either Santa or Rudolf, each calendar comes with handmade Christmas flavoured biscuits that slot into each pocket, including a special iced Christmas tree for number 24. We are again offering refill packs for those who already have calendars. Orders will be taken via the website only up to the 20th November or until they sell out. Our coats are made from a special towelling material that wraps around your dog & will dry them keeping them toasty warm after a long wet soggy walk. No more wet soggy car boot or sofa :) Millie is modelling one of our sample coats in a vibrant red colour, they are also available in Pink, Navy, Purple, Navy & Bottle grey They can be personalised with your dogs name, a club name or simply left blank. Personalisation is embroidered so will not wear off in the wash. Personalisation will take around a week. Please message for advice on measuring your dog if you're unsure. Finding the right size of Dog robe couldn’t be easier. Follow the step-by-step instructions below: • Grab a tape measure and measure around the girth of your dog (the deepest part of his chest) to find out how many inches or centimetres he is. • Check out our table below to find out which size category your dog’s girth measurement falls into. Should you find your dog is between sizes, opt for the size up. • The girth measurement is in fact equal to the length of the Dog robe – from the collar to a few inches over the hindquarters. Please check that the length of the Dog robe in your chosen size will be long enough to cover the hindquarters. If not, please opt for the size up.
