A lesson learnt: If you delete a file from your camera's SD card 'In-Camera', there is no recycle bin. There is software out there (some free) that can attempt to recover deleted files, particularly if you realised your mistake before adding more photos/video and risking overwritting the files. However, although I have had success recovering photo's, recovering video (which is what I wanted to do) was not so sucesful. Be warned; copy to computer before deleting files in camera.

Four members of Formby Photo Group had a great time on the 'Wildlife, Film and Photography course at Ainsdale. The weather just about held off although the forecast was really bad. I was so inspired that I went out again the following day and got a few more photos. Tomorrow, (22 Sept) a few more members will be attending Trevor Davenport's course, also at Ainsdale Discovery centre.

Tony Northrup explains why ND, Grad and Polarizing filters and even UV (lens protection) filters are unnecessary. Watch or zoom to the end where he goes berserk with his Prime Lens - agony to watch - do NOT try this last bit on your own lens. At the middle of this video is a useful little tutorial on how to get milky waterfalls, seas, lakes without the need of ND filters and long exposures and actually improve the image in the process as if you were using ISO 5 - Wow. I'l be trying some of this out asap - NOT the last bit. https://www.facebook.com/NorthrupPhotography/videos/1082268948631472/
