JKR Contractors Ltd is a family run business providing services in Civil Engineering and Concrete Works to Commercial, Domestic & Agricultural businesses. We are located near the town of Ellon, Aberdeenshire and work throughout the North East of Scotland. Our aim since we began is to provide an excellent, reliable and cost effective service to our clients.
JKR Contractors Ltd was started in 2007 by father and sons, Jim, Kevin & Ryan Taylor. The company now employs over 50 members of staff, all trained to the highest level.
Through rapid growth and investment JKR Contractors have been able to secure larger projects and have taken our annual turnover in 2007 from £1,000,000 to £8,000,000 in 2013.

Throughout the past 5 years the company has grown into an all-round Civil Engineering Company, specialising in Drainage, Earth Works, Road Works, Hard Landscaping and Utility Installation.
Further to Our Civil Engineeering services we also offer a full range of Concrete Works services including: Concrete Floors, Concrete Walls, Concrete Foundations, Steel Fixing and Concrete Form Work.
We believe our wide range of services allow us to take a job from start to finish, thus saving our customers time and expenditure dealing with multiple sub-contractors. This holistic approach allows JKR Contractors to provide the highest level of service to meet with our clients requirements.

This role will focus on providing accurate and effective health, safety and environmental advice to all staff and promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the company. Responsibilities will include: - Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation. - Engaging with staff and subcontractors on HSEQ performance through regular safety awareness briefings and lead on the delivery of objectives and targets. - Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. - Assess, develop and maintain high standards of performance and productivity through leadership, effective communication, coaching, training and staff development. - Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety. - Engaging with clients and other external stakeholders, acting as key point of contact. The successful candidate will have: - Proven experience in a similar role within civil engineering or construction related industry. - A NEBOSH construction Certificate and ideally a minimum of Tech IOSH status. - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. - A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations. - Previous management experience. - Clean UK driving licence. Rebar fixing nearing completion for concrete on Tuesday on the Basement floor slab at Pittodrie street in Aberdeen. Retaining walls in progress aswell.
We were recently awarded the new student accommodation on Pittodrie Street in Aberdeen. Yesterday saw us pour the 1st concrete floor slab at basement level on Building B.
We have recently completed a project in Portlethen, upgrading an 8 acre existing pipe yard for Ramco. The main contractor was Morrison Construction. Our works included foundations, drainage and concrete floors to two new buildings, installation of new timber pipe racks, external drainage to yard, service tracking and pouring 2500m3 of concrete to form new roads around the site.
1st concrete pour (180m3) to the accropode production shed foundations at the new Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project. Another 800m3 still to pour!
