We have had an exciting time in the 0-3s this week. We have had lots of sensory experiences using mirrors and different textures and materials for the children to explore. 🎨 We have explored the outdoors in all weathers, wearing our all in one suits and taking advantage of splashing in the puddles. 🌳☔️ The children have all enjoyed investigating the new layout of the room, especially enjoying our new cosy area where we have been reading lots of stories and singing songs to the babies. 🎼We participated in our own shopping trip this week to Tescos too giving the children a chance to help count our shopping into the basket and take it through the tills. 🍍🍎 Have a great weekend everyone and we will see you on Monday 😀!

This week in the 3-5 room we have been looking at caterpillars and butterflies. We looked at how they change and the cycle of how it works . The children had amazing understanding of this and showed us how it works by making a sequence game. We learned about how symmetry works by making butterfly prints. We learned how butterflies get nectar by joining straws and get children to drink from a cup of water to show it can be tricky and hard work for the butterflies. We went on a caterpillar and butterfly hunt outdoors but we found more worms and slugs than caterpillars😂 with all this rain. Lisa was lucky to find a caterpillar whilst out walking and we had this in nursery and we helped to look after it the children enjoyed giving it crunchy leafs and fruit 🍉🍉this really showed how the children can be gentle and look after our insects and nature. We introduced a new song music man the children used instruments to go with it was fantastic way to learn our memory and sequence backwards.🎺🎷🎸🎹 We finished our week with parachute games in hall followed by bikes and running games.⛹🏽🚴⚽️ Have a fantastic weekend see you Monday 🗓😀

We have had another fun filled week in 0-3s. We have had lots of tactile experiences such as the bright colourful feathers with the shiny bows. We also had some hard pasta twirls out for us to feel, we served them onto plates for our friends. We all enjoyed the gloop tray and we loved getting our clothes messy!😄 we watched it fall from our hands and plop into the tray. We have also started the construction of our paper mache volcano☺️

This week in the 3-5 rom we've had great fun. We've been doing so many things to do with our topic right now which is dinosaurs. The children love learning all the different parts of the dinosaurs and how they use to live. We made our own volcano and used bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to conduct an experiment showing the children just what a volcano can do and what it looks like when it erupts.🌋 We went to Anderson's Care Home this week as well and had a lovely time seeing all the ladies and gentlemen. The children loved getting involved with conversations with all the residence and had fun in the garden picking all the vegetables we planted as well. It really was a lovely time for all of us😊❤️ We went over to the field s few times with week as well and played all sorts of games such as follow the leader and what's the time mr wolf. We also had some races rolling down the hill which they all loved to do and have all asked to go back to do it all again.😂 We hope you all have a good weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again next week. Have a lovely weekend.😍💜☺️

Its been a good week in the 3-5 room as we've always been busy through out the week. We went to Anderson's Care Home again this week and did some work in our garden and went in to visit the lovely residents there ❤️. We also spent the entire morning outside playing with the parachute and playing different games to keep us active, we've even then went across the field from nursery to play football and a big game of tag which ended up with the children all chasing the staff 😅😊. We went and explored the sensory garden looking at the various herbs and plants and smelling the different scents they give off . And we've been learning to spell out our names using our magnetic boards and letters. Hope everyone has a good weekend and we'll see you all again next week. ❤️😀👍

There's been a lot going on in the 0-3 room this week..... Our toddlers have been looking at numbers and colours and using the electronic toys to help them. We have also been practicing our fine motor skills by using the bead trails and our gross motor skills by using our balance skills on the toddle box as well as kicking balls into the nets. We have finished our week off with some fun messy play, we have had the soil and water, sand and fun in the ball pit.

We have had a very busy week with a lot of mess. We have been making clouds with the cornflour and gloop, as well as concentrating on friendship and sharing through different types of games. Some of our toddlers have also enjoyed dressing up with their favourite being the hair nets from the kitchen. We've also enjoyed the outdoors and had plenty of walks to the park to see the ducks and our local community.
