Gyle Recreation Grounds Association and Tall Oaks Edinburgh under 19 football pitch Gyle Recreation’s purpose is to promote the advancement of social and physical welfare for the people of Corstorphine, the Gyle and surrounding West Edinburgh area. We do this in partnership with local authorities and third sector voluntary and community organisations. We promote and provide leisure time activities in a safe environment for sports and social groups, currently primarily  focussed on school age children and young people.

Tall Oaks (our football pitch) and our sports pavilion area, are used by a wide number of groups including Gylemuir Primary School, football, karate and keep fit clubs, dance as well as a cricket club, with over 200 children & youths accessing the facilities weekly

Notice of AGM Meeting of Gyle Recreation Grounds Association Monday September 25th 2017 At 19:00hrs in the Gylemuir Community Centre Building (Next to Gylemuir Primary School) At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to: • find out about Gyle Recreation’s operations and finances • speak about any items on the agenda • vote on any resolutions proposed. • Elect a board of new Trustees Gyle Recreation has recently taken over the running of the Gylemuir Community Centre, and will be upgrading it and refurbishing it over the next few months. This is in order to provide additional facilities to the local community, as well as the existing 11 a side gated football pitch known locally as “Talloaks”. Anyone wishing to have a vote at the AGM will need to complete a members application form by emailing GyleRec@outlook.com, and then membership will be considered at the next Board meeting on Aug 28th. If anyone is interested in volunteering either at either the football pitches, or in helping refurbish the Community Centre they should also email GyleRec@outlook.com with your contact details and someone will be in touch.
