Fresh Academy is an inclusive performing arts company for young people from Derry/Donegal. We write&produce plays and develop as actors, dancers & singers! Sinéad Crossan from Derry has 15 years experience of teaching Performing Arts within a secondary school and as Head of Drama in Merseyside. After returning to home to Derry Sinéad is now a full time teacher at Foyle View School. Sinead has opened a performing arts school with the aim of enhancing confidence in young people, developing their performance skills and preparing them for auditions. Work created will be showcased for parents and family friends. Based at the gasyard Sinéad will work with fresher members to introduce them to the skills of the actor and examine the world of musical theatre weekly. Feis work will not feature in this Academy as the focus is on developing skills that will enhance their confidence and knowledge of the world of theatre and film performance. Think you have FRESH ideas- then come along and enjoy the fun!

Parents of pupils doing an exam: 1. Can you be sure to write your child’s full name and DOB as it appears in passport as we have to send this info to London college this week. 2. Payments will be transferred online to London College of Music so if anyone missed class and owes in fees if we do not have tomorrow they will miss the entry deadline unfortunately 3. Keep a check on homeworks being set so that your child can reach their full potential 7 weeks and classes will be over and we will be into the exam 💕🌟thanks as always #freshparents💕

Thank you for class fees and a big thanks for getting the exam entry fees in on time so that we don’t incur a penalty fee for entering the students. Please be aware that the extra class tuition costs is to cover the extra hour that your child will have in a small group to prepare for the exam. This happens one time per year for anyone doing an exam over an 8 week period. The exam entry fee is sent to London And is to cover the costs of the examiner and certification. It is essential pupils focus in exam classes and practice at home plus Work on folders (g1 and above) if they are to be ready for the exam in June 2018. We appreciate financial pressure at a time like this and can arrange instalments for classes where needed however the entry fee must be in if child is to be entered online.
