#myzone members have you read this ! We are excited to announce the launch of Zone Match within the Myzone App is now Live! Can be found in workout option with varied time choices. Zone Match is a color driven cardio game where users aim to match their Myzone Effort Tile to a target color. The longer you match the prescribed color zone, the higher your Zone Match score. Zone Match motivates and challenges users to achieve set zones within their workout; the app will take them on a zone journey to help achieve goals. Simply set a time duration and then choose the preferred cardio experience. Throughout the workout, live feedback will be shown informing users how well they are doing within the zones, and at the end, they receive a personal best percentage score to help gamify the Myzone experience. Simply, it leads users through interval training challenges to achieve set zones to gain set goals. Myzone is also making an important change to how caloric expenditure is recorded on Myzone workouts. Currently, any physical activity below 50% is included in the caloric equation, however this has found to be causing an overestimate of the calories burned during periods of rest. Myzone is committed to providing the most accurate data during concerted physical activity and this change is designed to reflect that. Once live, calories will only be credited during activity above 50% effort which is also aligned with MEPs. This change will be reflected in the updated Myzone App which is now available. Trainers Tip of the day: Arms To add size to your arms it is important to hit Tri-ceps more as this makes up more than 2/3 of the arm. Many people don't realise this but you have 3 heads, hence the name (Tri) these heads are; The Long head (the belly of the muscle) The medial head ( positioned in the middle deep in the tissue) The lateral head ( known as the short head giving the horse show look) It is important to train these muscles in this order to get full potential out of the workout. The best exercises for these are: Skull crusher's / lying down tricep extensions Overhead extensions Pushdown using straight bar Close grip bench Dips Rope extensions Cable kickbacks Reverse grip pushdowns. Try this the next time your wanting to train arms and you won't just feel the difference but see it too 💪 For guidance on how to perform any of these correctly come along to our weights seminar or book in with one of our trainers 😁
