Set Up . Before starting any exercise I will always take my time, whether it be free weights or machines. . If the set up is rushed then you could risk injurying yourself or cause unwanted muscle strain on other muscle groups that you didn’t intend on working through that set. Plus developing an incorrect motor skill movement pattern. . Incorrect set up can also lead to incorrect technique thus the exercise becoming ineffective. . Quick Tips :- . 👉🏻What do I need to adjust for this exercise to target the correct muscle/muscle groups? . 👉🏻Pin loaded/Plate loaded Machines, is the weight evenly distributed? (As sometimes the case may be someone has took one pin stack all the way to the bottom and on the other side its somewhere completely different? . 👉🏻Is the seat sat at the correct height for my body? . 👉🏻Are there clips on both sides of the barbell? . 👉🏻When performing the exercise, can I do this in a safe manner that will not risk injury? . 👉🏻Is the weight setting correct & can I complete the movement?
