If you are unsure about what the best stretches are for your snowsports activity, ask one of our friendly coaches what they would do! It doesn’t have to take long, just five minutes before and after your session holding each stretch for approx. 30 seconds will help.

The Snozone Freestyle Day Course is a full day course (8 hours including breaks) for those who want to take their first steps into freestyle. This is for skiers and snowboarders who can confidently descend the main slope indoors, or blue runs outdoors. You must be able to control your speed and direction through turns and show good balance and posture. It is a great course for those who are looking to try freestyle riding and/ or perfect certain tricks on a specially designed rookie park setup. On 13th/14th August 2015 Benji at Snozone Castleford achieved a World Record for the greatest distance snowboarding on an indoor ski slope in 24 hours, at 93150 meters: “From the first lap of the world record attempt I knew if I wasn't ready to give it my all now then I would never be ready. Around the half way mark I really started to feel the pain. Lap after lap my legs were screaming at me to take a break. I just kept repeating to myself ‘one more lap & I'll have a rest’. I knew that stopping would be worse than taking a break & trying to get back into a steady rhythm. I couldn't have achieved what I have without the entire team behind me. It wasn't an individual achievement by any means. It was an amazing team putting in their time & effort while working towards making this dream a reality. I had a few days of recovery after the event but on the first day of my recovery I felt jet lagged & could barely walk. I look back at the entire event now & realise that I could never have done it without everyone supporting me through every step of the way. I suppose in a sense I hope people realise how important it was to have a strong team behind me in making the impossible happen. Thanks to everyone who made this amazing achievement happen."
