This is the Facebook page for Cardross Parish Church, a public place where we can share our news, pictures and information.

Cardross Parish Church is a community based Church located on the banks of the river Clyde, about 18 miles west of Glasgow between Dumbarton and Helensburgh.

We are a small, yet thriving parish church and we interact with, and play a central part, in the life of the community of Cardross.

We come together every Sunday morning for worship at 11am except during the school summer holidays when our worship is at 10.30am. Families are particularly welcome and there is activities for children of all ages each Sunday and Messy Church for families once a month on a Saturday morning.

Our minister is the Reverend Margaret McArthur.

We warmly welcome all visitors to our Church and in particular encourage young families to join us to participate in the life of our Church where you will always find a warm and friendly welcome.

The weather effected our numbers attending Messy Church today. But those who managed enjoyed a great morning. Maggie told the story about Jacob sleeping in the wilderness and using a stone for a pillow. While he slept he dreamed about a ladder to heaven and the Angels climbing up it. That inspired our games and even the cakes we made, which had Curly Wurly chocolate ladders!

The Christmas Tree Festival is now ready to open. As you may be aware BBC Breakfast has a challenge to get the country carol singing this Christmas because it releases endorphins that cheer us up and make us feel better. This year at the Christmas Tree Festival in Cardross Church we are inviting you all to drop in on the Friday evening between 6pm and 8pm when we will have our very own Community Carol singing along with the Peaton Peelers and the Cardross Fiddlers providing additional Christmas music. Lets see if we can raise the roof with our own rendition of “O Come All Ye Faithful”. There will also be light refreshments including mulled wine. We are open tomorrow from 11am till 4pm when Santa will be in his grotto (£4 admission for children). On Sunday we are open from 1 to 3pm and then there will be a short closing service. There is no entrance charge to the Christmas Tree Festival, but all donations are gratefully received and will be split between our two charities Glasgow City Mission and Robin House. Please share and look forward to seeing you there.
