Calling all Space Chasers! Don't forget to come in and tell us about the books you've read this Summer. Our medal ceremony and party for everyone who completed the Summer Reading Challenge 2019 will be on September 28th, so there's still time to read those last few books and collect your prizes if you haven't already. Take a look at a couple more of the wonderful robots you've created this week!

Thursday 26th September 10.00 a.m. - 12 noon. Join us for a cuppa and a cake to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support!

Children ages 0-12: There's still time to sign up for the Space Chase Summer Reading Challenge 2019! Our medal ceremony will be being held on Saturday 28th September, so there's still plenty of time to join up and read six books. Plus come in anytime this week to make a UFO, and next week to create your own junk alien or robot. Take a look at some of the wonderful aliens and robots our young readers have made already!

Calling all crafters and knitters. Does anyone have any black wool they could donate to us for our children's crafts?

Many thanks to all who came to our Science Dome planetarium event on Friday - nearly a hundred people went inside the dome over the three sessions and judging by the comments we received a good time was had by all! Special shout-out to Jimi from Science Dome UK who made the event such a success - it was the perfect mix of information and fun

Just a reminder that due to tomorrow's Science Dome event, there will be no Toddler Time at Boscombe Library. See you all next week as usual!

UPDATE: now returned to the owner. Has anybody lost a child's scooter? We've had one in the library for a few weeks now and we'd love it to be reunited with its owner! Please tell us the colour and make of your lost scooter and we'll be happy for you to pick it up, as it's rather in the way!

Don't forget this Friday there's fun for kids at Boscombe Library with Dogs Trust! Come and join in for free stories and activities for 5 - 11 year olds about our four legged friends! No need to book, just come along.
