To end this year we have finished building our Clio 3 RS 200 X85 Cup Racer engine. We look forward to racing this in the 750 Motor Club Royal Purple Hot Hatch Championship in 2018. We are just about to convert the second X85 Clio Cup Race Car from Marelli management to the KTR X85 management kit. We are building a high compression race engine for next season to go in this car having run the stock setup during the 2017 season. Having power tested prior to the new engine the car was putting out 196 BHP and 170 lb/ft peak. More on this coming very soon!

More from our workshop this week. This Megane 2 RS R26 has been with us for a KTR Forged engine build, seen earlier in our posts. Now run in and ready for mapping today. Thanks to our exhaust cam upgrade and a Megane 3 RS turbo unit this makes 300BHP/ 300 lb/ft at 1.2 bar and holds peak torque from 2500 RPM to 5800 RPM, achieving the customers wishes easily within the capabilities of the engine and current setup. Just completed in our workshop is this track day focused Clio 182 Cup. The customer wanted to take the car to the next level and be ready for next season in plenty of time. With the KTR fully compliant MSA rollcage with double door bars and harness bar additions, FIA race seats and HANS compatible harnesses completing the changes to the interior (steering wheel change coming). Handling is taken care of with the KTR 750 MC 182 Championship suspension kit including KTR Solid top mounts, Team Dynamics 15" Pro Race 1.2's with Nankang NS-2R Soft compound tyres, CL Brakes pads and new discs all round. Full KTR track suspension setup, corner weighting also carried out. Brake cooling has been upgraded too with the KTR Brake duct kit, which has been smoothed and painted into the front bumper for a more subtle look. Now just to get out on track and get some seat time!

More from our workshop team today. This KTR forged Megane 2 RS engine is now ready to be installed into the customers R26. Featuring a Megane 3 RS Turbo, uprated exhaust camshaft, 630cc injectors, single mass flywheel conversion, Supertech valves, forged pistons and rods, King Race Bearings (big end and mains). Once run in, this will produce great power and torque with superb delivery thanks to the camshaft upgrade which really suits this engine. More on this once installed and dyno'd very soon!

Final mapping having been completed on the Supercharged X85 Clio Cup Racer, we thought we'd show you what it's like on the dyno and from inside. This is an absolute rocket! 270 BHP / 230 lbft (+80BHP / +60 lbft) in this chassis is going to be tremendous on track! What a car!

Running our Clio 3 RS Supercharger kit, GEN90 ECU with KTR Magnetti Marelli Wiring Adaptor, AIM Strada Dash with custom CAN. Finishing this up on the Dyno next week for final mapping!

As the season comes to a close, we love hearing how our customers have got on in 2017. Mr G uses his KTR Tuned and modified Clio 200 in the Javelin Sprint Series and sent this in today with the following message - " The Clio won the A3 race car group championship in the Javelin Sprint Series yesterday, the only car that was driven to and from every event, a testament to all the good work you guys done. Many thanks for the service work and the spare parts delivery service. Much appreciated." No problem Mr G! Congratulations on the Championship win!
