To all my Game of Thrones friends. So, at the end of September The HistoryMen decided to get a photograph with all the Game Of Thrones doors around Northern Ireland and we managed to catch the second at Percy French's Restaurant at the Slieve Donard in Newcastle. We kind of stirred up a lot of interest and kicked off quite a lot of iPhone pics from passers by. Awesome.

I feel very privileged as HistoryMen took part in the amazing 100th Anniversary Tribute Concert to the Battle of the Somme in the Theatre at the Mill on Thursday night. The night was hosted by Claire McCollum and featured George Jones, Willie Drennan, Maureen Larmour the amazing band of the Royal Irish Regiment, The Northern Ireland military wives choir and a live reenactment from Living History Ireland which is where we blast in! Just amazing night as I got to sing some of the most crucial songs which carried the Troops through the Great War from 'Keep the home fires burning' to 'Pack up your troubles'. As always HistoryMen can tailor any performance to your needs, from medieval Game of Thrones to Victorian or Wartime. Call Gregg on (07813)303074 or go to www.cameoflage.com

So it's back to 1916 this month as the HistoryMen have been commissioned to recreate a British officer from the Battle of the Somme. Songs of the time will be included to help remember and celebrate the 100 anniversary.

So, after Storm Gertrude destroyed trees at the Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland, which served as the backdrop for the Kingsroad, 10 doors were carved depicting moments inspired by the sixth season of Game of Thrones. The HistoryMen have taken on the task of having a portrait photo taken with each door situated around the countryside. This is the first at the Ballygally Castle hotel.

Say hello to our group of unsuspecting tour operators who had the chance to witness the legend, Sir James Shaw, the original owner of the Ballygally Castle in 1625. Sir James gave the Game of Thrones fanatics a wonderful performance of song before launching into the show itself...! Want to know more then email at info@historymen.com
