(German Version below) In her work Laura Carralero (1991, Havana) systematically deals with the reminiscence of spaces. The basis of her work is the precise observation of her environment and its subsequent reduction to fundamental spatial experiences. Throughout this process, the impressions Carralero captures transform into fragmentary spaces in which fiction and reality, the well-known and the unknown coexist. Laura Carralero studied art at the Instituto Superior de Artes (ISA), Havana. Since 2010 her works has been presented in various solo and group shows in Cuba and the US. Solo exhibitions: Desierto, Estudio Taller, Havana (2017); Fundación Ludwig de Cuba, Havana (2017). Group Exhibitions: Direct from Cuba: A Woman's Perspective, Lois Lambert Gallery, Santa Monica USA (2016); La conciencia del espacio, Palacio de Lombilllo, Havana (2015). Laura Carralero (1991, Havanna) setzt sich in ihrer Arbeit systematisch mit der Erinnerung von Räumen auseinander. Grundlage für ihre Arbeit bildet die präzise Beobachtung ihrer Umwelt und das Destillieren von räumlichen Erfahrungen mit ihren eigenen Methoden. Die verbleibenden Bilder und flüchtigen Eindrücke verarbeitet Carralero zu Räumen, Plätzen und Fragmenten. Dabei vermengen sich Fiktion und Realität, Vertrautes und Unvertrautes in einem Bild. Laura Carralero studierte Kunst am Instituto Superior de Artes (ISA), Havanna. Seit 2010 zahlreiche Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen in Kuba und den USA.
