Nuestro super voluntario y amigo Tony Pichler ha creado el último homenaje a uno de los muchos galgos que él cuidó de mientras estuvo en la FBM. Tony creó un vínculo muy especial con kenzo y aparte de realizar el tratamiento de sus heridas , dio a Kenzo mucho amor, él ayudó a pagar su tratamiento médico. Si eso no fuera suficiente, llegó a casa y tenía la cara de kenzo tatuado en su brazo!!! El vínculo entre los seres humanos y los galgos es algo que no podemos explicar con palabras. Es un asunto del corazón y el alma. Gracias Tony por esta increíble homenaje.

La galguita Rocío es la más pequeña de nuestro hospital. Aunque su madre y sus ocho hermanos también están en la fundación Rocío está hospitalizada debido a su delgadez. Ella y toda su familia están a la espera de encontrar una familia. This little beauty is called Rocio. She is the smallest creature in the hospital right now. Her mommy and eight brothers and sisters are here at the shelter as well, but Rocio needs to stay in the hospital for a bit. She is quite thin and weak but her will to live is LARGE. Something as precious as Rocio is sure to find a family who loves her. Her brothers and sisters are cute too!! Stay tuned, we will post photos soon!

Hoy comenzamos el día con la historia de Ariel. Today we start our day with the story of Ariel. As you can see Ariel is a black male galgo. As legend would have it, black male galgos can bring bad luck so we have many abandoned black males always. Ariel is stable and will overcome his wounds and trauma. He has many cuts and scrapes as you can see, all over his body. The most serious wound was to his back right thigh. He had a very deep cut that severed the muscles that help the knee to flex. The damage and infection are now being treated and he is on the mend. The only thing on Ariel's mind these days is his new life. He is waiting anxiously to meet his forever family and finally know what love and affection is all about. Might you give Ariel a second chance? He SO deserves it!!

Kimbo, un perro muy especial. Kimbo es un pastor alsaciano de cinco años ,y hace cuatro días sus ladridos alertaron a los vecinos de que su dueño estaba inconsciente .Su papa humano sufría un cancer desde hace varios años y desgraciadamente tras varios días hospitalizado ,ha fallecido y ahora Kimbo se encuentra solo. Al llevarlo a la fundación ha dejado de comer debido a su estado de depresión por lo que lo hemos vuelto llevar a su casa y enseguida se sentó al lado del sillón de su dueño esperando su llegada. Sólo con la ayuda de una familia nueva que le de una nueva ilusión por vivir, Kimbo podrá salir adelante. http://fundacionbm.com/adopta/ Kimbo, a very special dog. He is a four year old Alsatian shepherd. Four days ago his excessive barking alerted his neighbors that something was wrong. His owner was unconscious in his home. Unfortunately, the owner had been battling cancer for a few years and his health had been declining. The poor man had died and Kimbo was desperate for help. The neighbors called the shelter and organized for Kimbo to come to FBM.When he arrived he stopped eating and drinking and became horribly depressed. We decided the best thing would be for Kimbo to be at home with the neighbors caring for him until we find him a new family that can love and cherish him like his late owner did. English: What our vet Nuria Antón Varela explains: The dog arrived in complete malnutrition, his weight is 15 kilos, basicly starving to death, and the sores that you see all over his body are because the skin gets dehydrated. It starts to pull against the bones and sores are caused. Then the body does not have the proper ability to heal the wounds because the body is in such a bad shape. In our hospital the wounds are going to be cleaned and will heal. The dog had as well the end of his tail broken and the end was starting to die. We had to cut off a piece of his tail, the part that was broken and dying and that is why he is bandaged up. Besides from that all the dog is in good condition. Delgado added: A Spanish guy who helps more dogs in Spain has found him, abandoned in a field, and tried to lure him with food. It took a while to catch him. He had to use a trap. The man made this effort because he saw it was very urgent to catch this dog. From now on he will gain weight, little by little.

Después de varias horas intentando de rescatarla , Alberto y Antonio finalmente consiguieron que Atena entrara en la jaula trampa y afortunadamente ya está a salvo en la FBM. After many hours of patiently waiting for Atena to enter the trap, Alberto and Antonio finally managed to coax her in. She is now safe, warm and has a full belly at FBM.

Garfield fue abandonado en una calle de Sevilla, y al buscar cariño y refugio en las personas fue golpeado y maltratado para que no molestase. Traía un otohematoma y múltiples heridas por todo el cuerpo. Being a very sociable and affectionate cat, he went searching for attention and love. Due to his good nature, he attracted attention from the wrong people and was treated very badly. We are not sure exactly what happened to Garfield, but you can see from his cuts and wounds that he was abused terribly. He has a serious hematoma due to being hit or kicked and cuts all over his body. TODOS NUESTROS PERROS LLEVARAN LA PRUEBA DE ADN En nuestro empreño por erradicar el abandono y el maltrato, y entendiendo de la necesidad de dotar de herramientas legales que dificulten al máximo estas prácticas, hemos firmado un convenio de colaboración con la empresa ADN Perros, y gracias a este acuerdo todos los animales que la fundación entregue en adopción, dentro del territorio nacional, llevaran la prueba de ADN realizada, y formaran parte de una base de datos, corriendo la citada empresa con todos los costes de las pruebas. Confiamos que esta prueba se haga extensible poco a poco a todos los municipios de nuestro país lo que ayudara a erradicar el abandono, pues hasta ahora basta con arrancar un microchip para o dejar rastro, el ADN es imborrable.
