Promoting Tennis in the local community
The LTC comprises past players and will soon be a registered section 21 company with the sole purposes of developing tennis in Limpopo as a whole, starting in Lebowakgomo. The LTC is the starting point to a much greater initiative. By way of background, the LTC is a bi-annual event hosted for the first time at the Lebowakgomo sport facilities this coming 19, 20, and 21 December 2014.

Lebowakgomo has for years produced tennis players who performed soundly nationally and internationally. With the view of reviving the sport and developing young talent, previous players, such as Darious Mohale, Pheeha Mohale, Gontse Seakamela, Pheeya Mohale; Gontse Rapulana-Seakamela; Darious Mohale; Katlego John Sefoka; Mosebo Moroawi; Tebogo  Molopa; Asnath Sebati; Dan Ramokgopha; Dean Ramokgopha; Mervyn Ramokrgopha; Kevin Ramokgopha; and Kholofelo Phulafudi e.tc, mostly comprising the Organizing Committee (OC) members has come together to host this tournament. In addition to inspiring young talent, the aim is to select the cream of the crop and assist them in attending junior tennis ranking tournaments organized by Tennis South Africa (TSA) throughout the country  and all year round. This will ensure that their level is elevated and they are able to compete nationally and internationally. Also, traveling experiences, interacting with other tennis players and athletes; and visibility to tennis scouts will becomes a possibility. Reemphasis on education is parallel with the training and tennis activities at all times.

In addition to the above, from these tournaments, the Darious Mohale Tennis Academy (located in San Jose, California) will also select a few players, who will get the opportunity to be managed and marketed by DMT to international tennis academies in the United States of America. These opportunities can be life changing experience for any young player from Lebowakgomo.
