Hebrews 1:1-5New International Version (NIV) God’s Final Word: His Son 1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. The Son Superior to Angels 5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father”[a]? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”[b]?

Look! The Lamb and the Lion of God There is no such a thing as Easter in the Bible. We do have an event that changed the world, that is the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus the Christ. We mark this memorable event as Christians so that we do not forget. Perceptions and perspectives are all about what who you see. The world is spiritually blind to what or who they see. Our eyes must be washed with eye salve to see or look accurately. Open my eyes Lord that I might see Jesus. John the Baptist looked (behold) and saw the Lamb of God that takes the sins of the world. The Pharisees saw a threat to their positions. Judas saw Him as a chance to betray for 30 pieces of silver. Herod saw Him an ordinary criminal on trial. The High Priest saw Him as a false teacher. Some of His disciples saw Him as a political deliverer. What or whom do you see? On the Friday he was crucified. One thief on the Cross saw the Lord. A Roman soldier saw the Son of God. The crowds saw an unfortunate miracle worker that could not save himself. Mary saw him as her son and John as his brother. What or whom do you see? On Sunday He rose from the dead. The woman went to attend to corpse. The angel told them, “He is not but risen from the dead.” The word of God declares Him to be the Lion of The tribe of Judah. On Friday He laid down His life as a Lamb to the slaughter. On Sunday He conquers death as the Lion of Judah. Whom do you see? Pastor Jacob Isaac
