On Sunday, 18 September 2016, 40 Natolin students spent the evening in downtown Warsaw at the Wielki Teatr, where they saw Mieczyslaw Weinberg's opera "The Passenger". The opera was inspired by the eponymous 1962 novel by Zofia Posmysz, and is based on her experience as a prisoner in Auschwitz. The opera, which Weinberg completed in the Soviet Union in 1968, was never performed during the composer's lifetime. It finally premiered in 2010, first in Bregenz and then in Weinberg's native Warsaw.
