One of the biggest lessons I've learned from living a, let's say chaotic, life is the value of time. We have so many idle minutes a day that we can let pass by or make a conscious decision to use. Whether it be to relax, to reflect, to rejoice or to produce. Make sure you make use of every single second that is given to you. Read a book on the bus, reflect on your day while in line at the grocery store, take an extra deep and refreshing breath while stuck in traffic. Our time is not infinite, but our possibilities are!

° The passion and the pain are gonna keep me alive some day° I've known people who committed suicide and I know people who chose heavy medication. I honestly can not say who my heart goes out to more. The ones who gave up or the ones who checked out.. The choice they both faced was losing their life or losing what it means to be alive. Letting their loved ones miss their presence or miss their soul. Like suicide was their last act of true freedom and autonomity, playing by their own rules even if that ment to quit the game. There is some beauty in it, some kind of ultimate sacrifice or badass-ery. It's choosing to give them self completely to the feelings that absorb them. It's a statement and it makes a point. It's giving up while giving the finger. Somehow it feels like the harder or braver thing to do than to numb it all with medication. Where is the autonomity in that? Yes you are still living but are you still alive? Yes you are functioning, but are you feeling? Yes, I survived but where is my soul? I've know people who committed suicide and I have chosen heavy medication. I honestly can not say who my heart goes out to the most..

Het speeddaten vanmorgen was echt buitengewoon en boven verwachting gaaf! Ik heb zowel heel bruikbare tips als overweldigend positieve reacties gekregen over het Random Act of Kindness project. To be continued.. (als ik antifrizz en een goede stijltang gevonden heb 😉)
