Who follows Whom? -- Dynamic Issue Positions and Media Coverage in the UK General Elections Dr. Iulia Cioroianu gave us an overview of her recent work and planned research. Iulia is an Associate Lecturer in the Q-Step Centre and a Research Fellow working on two ESRC-funded projects: "Media in Context and the 2015 General Election: How Traditional and Social Media Shape Elections and Governing" and "ExpoNET: Measuring Information Exposure in Dynamic and Dependent Networks".
This morning four students from TU Delft came to present us the project they are working on, the Weather Witness. The students have been working on a Bluemix-based app via which they can record rain events as people walk around and use the smart umbrella.
