JUDGMENTS The problem is not really the judgments we know that we carry, we can do something about those; inform ourselves and relearn. It's the invisible judgments we carry that wreak havoc, and we all carry them to some extent. They are lodged deep in our subconscious, programmed by the society or people that raised us. And because we are not aware of them, we act on them without noticing. To this day I'm battling subconscious judgments, surprised and horrified when they raise their ugly heads. All we can do is to pay attention to those fleeting thoughts and feelings, bring them into the light, acknowledge them and liberate ourselves from them. Don't go into denial because you carry something you don't like or don't want to see, then you will never be free. Meet your inner foes head on and they will lose their power.

COOLING MINT 1-2 handfuls of fresh mint 2 lemons 1 tblspoon ethical honey Chop the mint and put in a heat resistant jug, add the honey. Pour over 1 liter of boiling water and cover. Let it cool, but not too fast. You really want all the minty goodness drawn into the water. When cold, strain and add juice from the pressed lemons. Serve with a twig of mint and ice. Add a dash of alcohol and you have a cocktail 😀 Mint has a cooling action, which makes this a great drink on hot summer days. And as an added bonus it also helps us mature Ladies as we go through the change...them heatwaves, you know! I have lots of mint in my garden 😃

MINDFULNESS Everybody talks about being Mindful - having your mind full - but with what? Do you know what is in your mind all the time? Hardly. I think we should be Careful instead - full of Care. Then it doesn't really matter with what our minds are full because we don't need to focus, we just need to care; About ourselves, the environment, peace, nutrition... CONNECTING When you meet another person, any person in any situation, even if it is only for a moment - Connect! Look them in the eye, be present with this one person in this one moment. This creates tremendous positive energy both in yourself and that other person. It doesn't matter if you will never see them again or if it was just a few seconds. Connect. Take that little moment to SEE them, smile, pause for a second. So many people feel invisible and unimportant. Your moment of connecting might make a huge difference to them. And the best part? SELF LOVE One day, while trying on costumes, I fell in love with myself. It was an overwhelming feeling of joy. Self-love is one of the hardest things to attain and the only kind of love our hearts truly cry out for. It is a total acceptance of who we are. We allow the world around us to define our worth and suffer as we are constantly reminded that we are lacking in some way. Take back your power, only you can define yourself. Only you have the right to choose who you are. And when you do, a whole world of possibilities open up!

Very interesting read. If you have confusions about yourself and you were somehow abused as a child, this article can clarify some of that. Once we understand what we're dealing with, we can do something about it. I worked through all of these issues on my journey to self-discovery & healing. When we have been abused we have a whole bunch of odd or difficult behaviours, thoughts and anxieties which are really confusing, because it is like having different people living inside who do not communicate with eachother. So even if we know we are doing good, this desperate survivor inside always says it's not good enough...
