Today's case. 16 year old mare presented with abnormal quidding and excessive saliva production, which was worsening over the past number of months since bought. She had very large ramps present on her 106/206 premolars, as well as prominent ETRs (Excessive Transverse Ridges) all of which were hindering AP movement. Due to the large size of the ramps I decided a staged reduction would be the best course of action to avoid any pulp exposure. I will see her again in 6 months where we will reduce the ramps again.

This 6yo friesian X had never had his teeth done. He had large overgrowths/ramps on his first lower cheek teeth with large transverse ridges on my the rest of his molars. The sharp edges on his upper teeth caused this nasty laceration on his cheek.

Came across a mare with large rostral hooks present on her 106/206 premolars today. Ramps, hooks and steps can cause problems my preventing AP movement, which in turn can cause problems eating and whilst riding. This mare's hooks were carefully reduced, whilst continuously checking for colour changes to indicate nearing pulp chambers. She will be a lot happier now😊

9yo mare presented today with "head shaking" and resisting the bit. She presented with 2 upper wolf teeth and severe lingual lacerations of the tongue. She has been treated previously, as can be seen from the bit seat present on the 406 ( lower right tooth) Arcades were balanced and wolf teeth removed, it will take a while for the laceration to heal, but now that the lingual sharp points on the 300/400 arcades have been removed she will be feeling more comfortable already.

2yo filly back for a check up today. Last time she presented with a small but noticeable lump directly rostral to the right ear. Horse was sent for X-ray's and an ectopic tooth was detected. The trainer decided to go ahead with surgery. However it was discovered during surgery that the roots of the tooth were entangled within several facial nerves so the decision was made to drain the abscess and monitor for now
