Everyone has the right to good wholesome fun Paul Cathcart started up the Irish flapjack & muffin company in the late 90’s. Having spent a few years as a “rock n roll” chef running his own restaurant in Dublin, Paul identified a market opportunity for tasty Irish-made treats and started about developing a range of flapjacks and muffins. Irish consumers loved them and the company grew quickly, soon outgrowing its first facility in Terenure.

In 2000 the company moved to its new premises in Tallaght where it had room to expand as the business grew.

In 2009, Ina’s kitchen desserts acquired irish flapjack & muffin co. And production was moved to Ina’s state of the art factory in Walkinstown, Dublin.

In 2014, we were bored with the doom and gloom in Ireland so we decided to revamp the IFMC brand giving it a new name and a new look. We wanted something a little more light hearted. It’s our little way of putting a bit of fun into what we do.

We’re still making delicious snack bars but are now called "Irish flapjacks & co". By being “original with originals” and using traditional recipes, our customers get the best of both worlds, healthy and tasty, traditional and modern. Just good wholesome fun!
