With so many health messages out there, self-help books, fitness programmes, diets, programmes offering quick fixes, we forget to ask ourselves: What is right for me?
We end up trying too many different things by ourselves, setting unrealistic goals, and when we don’t succeed, it knocks our motivation and self-esteem.

From my valuable past experience working with clients, facilitating diet, nutrition and weight management programs, I found that even with the best programmes and with the best advice to follow, it is about much more than just the food we eat. If we don’t make changes in other parts of our lives, we just end up regaining the weight we fought so hard to lose.

My transition from advising to coaching came about because of this realisation: That the client is the expert of their life. So working with a person and helping them look at their whole life and how they are living it, their perceptions and what supports they have, are big factors in being successful. Also the client is much more successful in behavioural change in the long term if they get help coming up with their own plan.

When we enjoy what we are doing, we feel a sense of accomplishment and we see the benefits of doing this new behaviour. When we look at our whole life and see what habits, behaviours and attitudes we actually have, and make small lifestyle behaviour changes that we are ready to make in one or more areas of our lives. We then start to achieve results and gain confidence and trust in ourselves that a healthier, balanced and more fulfilled life is possible and sustainable.


The five main areas that I can help you with are: fitness, nutrition, stress management, weight management and help you manage and deal with any health related illness or issue.

WHAT WILL COACHING DO FOR ME?
Coaching will help you to take a step back and look at where you are now and where you want to be with your health and wellness. We will co-create a wellness plan that is right for you with a set of goals that are optimistic yet realistic and implement small steps that you are ready to take to bring you to your desired outcome. I will support you and hold you accountable for what you say you are going to do. Coaching will empower you by looking at your strengths and what has worked for you in the past.

I will help make you more aware of your internal and external barriers that are preventing you from reaching your goals. I will help you come up with strategies to get over, under and through these barriers, and to overcome the challenges that make it hard for you to live the healthy life you want. Together we will help you keep on track, evaluate your progress and adjust if necessary, and find and develop sources of support to help you become healthier, more aware and more balanced, and empower you to carry it forward by yourself as new, healthier lifestyle habits.

A NEW YEAR upon us and we try to change everything at once. Start with a piece of paper and make a list of the habits that you are not happy with. Start with the easiest one until you achieve your desired outcome then start with the next one. Even if it takes a month/year to change one. Small achievable steps leads to big changes. I am starting this week replacing coffee first thing in the morning with lemon water. Good Luck
