Solstice Film & Animation Camps are an exciting and engaging creative experience for schoolchildren aged from 8 years and upwards. The camps activities comprise of a range of creative task-based exercises in movie making, stop motion animation and Scratch programming.

The movie making classes will cover the basic operation of cameras and techniques used in video production. The students will be given the challenge of putting together a short film. They will engage in the creative process of generating an idea for the short film, storyboarding, shot listing, shooting and editing the production. The course provides a wonderful opportunity for budding filmmakers to produce their first film.

Stop motion animation is carried out through the medium of Legomation and provides an exciting look at the process using the ever-popular building blocks and figurines. This part of the camp is a must for all Lego fans.

Scratch programming is used to provide a platform to create short animations and games through the popular application. It offers a great introduction to coding and programming and is ideal preparation for Coder Dojo and other courses and workshops.
