As of yesterday both junior & senior classes are full to capacity for this season.I hate to turn anyone down but i just cannot squeeze one more person through the door at the moment,i took in probably an extra 6 people in each class this year to allow for the usual dropout rate but so far everyone has stayed so it would be grossly unfair on the members i have to even try to take anyone else in as i already cannot give them as much 1 on 1 time as i'd like to.Anyone who would like to join the waiting list please call me on 083 3022287 & i will contact u when a spot opens up.Also if there are any adults out there with an interest in boxing who would like to train to be a coach give me a buzz.

Ladies class is on as normal at 7 pm tonight,Tony is still a bit under the weather but Frank will put you all through your paces until his return.I know Tony is a hard act to follow but we will do our best to send you home tired & happy.

OK people now that my fantastic weekend with the girls is over it's time to give the boys a bit of attention so the plan for this weekend is as follows,boxing in wexford saturday night we have NEDAS PETKUS,GAVIN O GORMAN,TADHG GRIFFIN,TOM MONAGHAN and boxing in tramore on sunday we have MICHAEL BRADSHAW,JORDAN ROCHE,TYRIQUE MC NAMARA,RICHARD CUMMINS,DARRAGH CURTIN,SEAN SAVAGE,BEN COUGHLAN,TADHG GRIFFIN,DANNY RYAN & TOMMY KEATING.This is just the start of another very busy season for everyone so no missing training with stupid excuses or you will find your name coming off the list very quickly.TRAIN HARD,FIGHT EASY that's how we do.

Haven't had a little rant for a while & most people would probably be saying thank god for that but anyone that really knows me knows if i have something to say which is really annoying me & keeps going round in my head then i have to let it out so here goes.Once again a couple of the GAA clubs in the area are having a white collar fight night to raise funds for their clubs,nothing wrong in that you may say & for the most part you would be right but here's my problem.The clubs have engaged the services again of this company from dublin who run these events & are making an assload of money out of it as are the clubs but i have seen the training they provide as one of my female boxers recorded the sessions when she did one for our local town club & let me tell you it was bad.How anyone is not getting seriously injured doing these events is beyond me & these guys from dublin don't care,they just want the money & really when you think about it your club don't really care about you either putting you into these things without proper training.I have received several phone calls in the last few days from lads that are taking part in this event asking if they can come into me for extra training but i have point blank refused,not because i have anything against the lads doing it as i know some of them quite well but because A:why should i help to make them look good for this company,and B:why would i help the GAA when they make no effort to keep the business local & engage our clubs services in the first place.I guarantee this club could run these events just as well as a crowd from a hundred miles away with the added bonus of proper training & at a fraction of what these guys are charging each club because trust me i know what they have charged in the past & i wouldn't be charging half that.So maybe next time some of you local clubs are organising these events you might consider keeping all the business local by fully engaging our services while also ensuring the safety of your players,instead of offering the crumbs after deals have been done.
