COMMUNITY SPIRIT: Congrats to all involved in the superb Drumcliffe Christmas Tree Festival which finished up earlier this evening with a hugely enjoyable (and uplifting) Carols Service. The unique event continues to go from strength to strength. Community Spirit in motion!

BENBULBEN 5K: The annual Benbulben 5k Road Race takes place this New Years Eve, Sunday December 31st. A great family friendly fun run and walk... and an ideal way to 'run in' the new year!

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL and CRAFT FESTIVAL 2017 opens in Drumcliffe Church and grounds from this Wednesday (Dec 6th from 6pm) and runs until Sunday (Dec 10th). Visitors welcome from Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 9pm and on Sunday from 11am to 6pm. The event will see 65 Community Christmas Trees erected inside Drumcliffe Church. Throughout the weekend there will be over 30 craft stalls will also be onsite. Other attractions include a Live Crib, musical performances and much more. The opening Carol Service takes place on Thursday at 8pm, while the closing Carol Service takes place on Sunday at 7pm. Proceed in aid of Samaritans and other charities.

FASHION SHOW The fashion event of the year takes place this Friday, November 10th, in Rathcormac Hall where Chiara Poli (The Italian Wardrobe) and EJ's Menswear will be showcasing designs and this season’s trends from top International design houses. There will be some familiar faces on the catwalk strutting their stuff with local dancers and musicians performing also. A great night guaranteed for all you fashionistas, male and female. Admission €10 and refreshments will be served. All very welcome.

CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL This year’s Christmas festival in Drumcliffe will run from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th of December and will include 50 themed decorated Christmas trees on display in Drumcliffe church. A craft festival marquee will host 30 craft stalls displaying their wares. Santa will be in attendance, many local choirs, musicians and singers performing over the course of the weekend. A closing community carol service will take place on the Sunday evening.
