OMC Technologies DAC have just completed work on the campus of the University College Dublin. As part of the new O'Reilly Hall development, OMC completed the design, fabrication and installation of aluminium cappings to roof parapets, full height glass screens and service yard stairs.

OMC Technologies DAC are delighted to announce the appointment of Padraic Comerford to the Board of Directors. Padraic takes up the role of Director with responsibility for the Surface Treatment Division of the business and the appointment is in response to the continuing growth and development of the division. Operating in Ireland, the UK and across Europe, OMC Technologies DAC now have a turnover of €30m with 200 directly employed staff. Commenting on the appointment Neil Lynch, Managing Director said “This key appointment will further enhance OMC’s management capability and will support the future development of the business in terms of growth and diversifying into new markets”. Tom Comerford, who is a founding member of the OMC Group in 1981, and current Chairman commented “Having started out the company myself in 1981, It’s great to see the next generation of the Comerford family taking a lead role in driving the OMC business onto a new level into the future.”

Continuing our support of local charities, OMC Technologies were delighted to continue in supporting Heart to Hand in their ongoing work supporting those less fortunate. Pictured is Mr. Des O'Leary presenting a donation to Mr. Pat Whelan of Hand to Heart. Heart to Hand is a registered, not for profit, charity organisation, set up in 1991 to provide food to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, homes for the elderly, people with disabilities , resource centers, homes for distressed women and families, alcohol awareness centers, drug rehabilitation centers, youth centers & many more deserving organisations around Ireland.

Pictured are Mr. PJ O' Mahony and Mr. Des O'Leary presenting the cheque to Ms. Annemarie Hayes of Milford Care Center. Milford Care Center is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and registered charity. It was first established by the Little Company of Mary Sisters in 1928 and now provides Specialist Palliative Care and Older Persons Services in the Mid West .

Recruiting Passivation Coordinator A position currently exists within the Surface Treatment Division of OMC Technologies DAC for the role of Passivation Coordinator. Based in the Munster area, the role will involve generating and managing project documentation packs including the interpretation of P&ID drawings and other technical information and ensuring quality assurance requirements are met. The role will require travel, working as part of a team and strong attention to detail. The role may include shift work dependent on project requirements. A full clean driving license will be required. In-house and on-the-job training will be provided and this role would suit a graduate engineer seeking to gain knowledge of surface treatment processes on an industrial scale.This will be a full-time permanent position subject to successful completion of an initial probationary period of 6 months. ELM PARK PROJECT: OMC Technologies DAC have just completed the installation of feature canopies at Elm Park. These canopies were designed by our in-house designers and fabricated by our specialist metal fabricators, based in our Limerick workshops. After successfully passing our in-house quality checks, these canopies were shipped to site and installed by our site crew, including the installation of the glass paneling.

CAPITAL DOCK COMPLEX. OMC Technologies have completed several projects in the prestigious Capital Dock complex, located on Sir John Rogerson Quay, in Dublin. A very high quality of workmanship is evident in the work completed by OMC Technologies, both by our workshops and site installation team. Delivered to demanding timescales and requirements, OMC completed various elements including balconies, Juliet balconies, feature staircases, canopies, pergola, stainless glazed balustrading, stainless quayside railing with LED lighting, and other structural steel works.

MAJOR PHARMA PROJECT. OMC have recently completed a multi-million euro project for a major pharmaceutical client in west Dublin. Over 12 months in duration, this project included the design, fabrication and installation of complex, large scale stainless platforms and supporting infrastructure, including stairways, handrails etc. OMC achieved the extremely tight project handover dates for the various stages, due to the 24/7 capabilities of our workshop and experienced stainless-steel designers and fabricators. Installation was completed by our highly experienced site team. Over the course of the project, OMC were presented with awards by the client in recognition of our overall performance throughout the project.

Microsoft have recently opened their new state of the art offices in Leopardstown, Co. Dublin. OMC Technologies DAC designed, fabricated and installed several feature metalwork packages across the development including feature staircases, metal and glass balustrades, glass paneled void balustrades, stainless steel handrails, laser cut decorative panels and bicycle storage both internally and externally. A high specification and finish level was required of all products and was delivered throughout as evidenced in the attached pictures.
