Congratulations to Hospital Tidy Towns for bringing so many together to celebrate the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Thanks to the singers for a great programme of festive music sung with great vitality and enthusiasm and well done to all those who didn't appear to notice the cold and offered great support. Enjoy and feel free to share. Frank Williams

Cold and damp but it didn't stop young and not so young from coming out in force. The rest of us can do out bit by keeping our towns and villages tidy in the future. Well done

This photograph is over 100 years old; apart from the fading and discoloration there was major physical deterioration of the surface, so bad that within 2 hours of removing the photo graph from its frame the surface had broken down completely and without restoration the picture would have been lost forever. It will never be perfect but a great deal has been recovered from the original. Do you have old photographs that would benefit from a little tender loving care; are they torn, faded, you might even like them to be larger. It doesn’t have to be expensive – from as little as €10, including printing for a print that will fit on a sheet of A4. Interested in learning to restore your own photographs? Perhaps I can help - two 90 minute sessions will introduce to the tools and techniques needed to get started on your own photographs and will cost you just €50 bring a friend and it will cost jut €10 more. An enquiry costs nothing; the loss of a picture could be beyond measurement!!

Its cold, its wet and its miserable; a good reason to fall back on what our cameras have helped us to achieve and reflect with som much pleasure so many wonderful images - places we have visited, wonders that nature has shared with us, our fascination with water and light. Where ever we may be there is an image to be captured and shared. Our memories are personal and we all react differently to what we see. The joy of photographs is that they allow us to share the colour, the shape, the atmosphere etc. They continue to bring a smile to my face. Hopefully you will like some of what you see; Enjoy!!!!!
