Junior Art Gallery provides a platform for children to display their art work and by doing so creating an opportunity for them to engage with the arts. Junior Art Gallery is an on- and offline gallery for children’s art. We provide a platform for children to display their artwork online and through exhibitions. By doing so we create an opportunity for arts engagement and arts participation. Through the provision of art workshops and events we offer a safe and fun environment to nurture children’s creativity.

We believe in the open and uncensored mind of the child and take this approach in our workshops. It’s our responsibility as facilitators to bring to life children’s own ideas and skills through gentle guidance.

Junior Art Gallery is run by Mathilde Murray-Veldt, an arts professional with a passion for children’s art. After years of working for the Art Council Mathilde decided to pursue her dream of working with children and putting their art on the map, getting the recognition it deserves.

There's actually almost no better place to be creative than out in nature. The kids from Nature Kindergarten, Kilruddery proof this with their awesome art projects. And to store all their work teacher Cliodhna came up with the fabulous idea of making art pockets, again decorated by the kids themselves. I absolutely love this idea and could be implemented at school as well as at home!

Installation time! It's been a while. But Sebastian (almost 6) is at it again. I discovered this little piece of art above his bed. All kinds of every day items pieced together to create something new and awesome! We'd love to see photos of other creators if you have one at home!
