HEADBomz UPDATE - There is a debate happening on radio tomorrow (wed 21st) at 11.15 am on the Seán O’Rourke show on RTE Radio 1. You can listen in online. It has apparently come from today's Irish Times article. The issue is growing beyond the particular advert, to include more around advertising and mental health in general.

Who is listening?
The ISPCC have launched this campaign to help children talk. The graphic video is very disturbing and as child therapists we are very concerned about how children will respond to it. We are concerned for children already with anxiety who might see this and rather than start to talk about their feelings will start to worry more about what will happen to them if they don't talk, we are worried about children burdened by worries who see their peers laughing at this clip making them feel isolated and scared, we are worried about children with autism who see these images and think quite literally about what might happen to them, we are worried about children who have selective mutism and children who are non-verbal and how they will feel watching this... This clip is going to be played in cinemas, on irish kids tv channels and all schools are going to get a pack to roll it out. Please help us to stop this from happening. Let people know that this is not ok.
Very upset by this, please share and help parents, teachers, anyone working with children understand that this campaign could be quite damaging for children with anxiety rather than helpful.
