Hello, Please support a petition I have just set up in relation to, “Minister of Education: CPR and First Aid Traing made compulsary for teachers.” I think this is important. Will you sign it too? Watch: 'How many lanes are monitored and is there somebody in there?' One very popular stand at the Ploughing this week is the Road Safety Authority's display, where they had a poignant display of every person who has died in a road traffic accident this year to remind visitors of the real people behind road traffic accidents. The RSA also has a speed camera on display, giving visitors to the Ploughing the opportunity to see exactly what's inside those vans. And there is a man (or woman) inside - it's not just a camera! Key speed van information • Staff at the RSA stand confirmed that the 50 plus speed vans are manned on the inside • Most parked up for between 30 minutes and two hours. • They also confirmed that while the speed vans only detect speeding in cameras at the back of the vans, the cameras can detect if a vehicle comes from either side at excessive speed. • The vans can also work at nighttime - and just because you didn't see a flash does not mean you were not caught! • The cameras have an infrared beam that is able to detect speed and read the number plate of a vehicle. • Staff at the stand also confirmed that the cameras can now detect speeding across five lanes, • They can even detect speeding vehicles on the other side of a dual carriageway. So far this year 188 people lost their lives on Irish roads and the RSA has been highlighting the danger of speed to Ploughing visitors.

DONALD TRUMP CALLS KIM JONG-UN "Spaceman" Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote the song "Rocket Man" almost 50 years ago.
