Walking down the street, doing some window shopping, would you be happy, annoyed, or didn't care if.....these shops hid a camera in an advertising screen which then profiled your gender, age, expression, awareness, concentration, what your eyes dwelled on and more? What if this same camera was able to see what you were reading on your phone, was used for facial recognition? Is this type of 'attention gathering' as its called acceptable to you? Fraudsters need just three details to steal your identity – and most of it can be found on Facebook

Cyber criminals want to gain 3 vital pieces of information from Social Media sites, particularly Facebook. Name, address and date of birth. Your D.O.B is a KEY piece of info as it never changes unlike your name or address. To protect your identity don't give your actual age. When registering and they ask your age it is only to prove you are over 13 (the law states no one under 13 can have an online account, but how easy is it to change that!). It is really important to ask yourself, before parting with personal information, is it necessary to give this info? Why do they want it? What are the implications of putting this information out there into the public domain? #offalyit #onlinesafety #onlineprivacy
