CFI would like to say a big well done and thank you to the team from BBAM Aviation in Dublin who recently took on the 'Hell & Back' Challenge and passed with 'flying' colours. They raised over €2,000 in the process. The team was made up of Conor, James, Eoghan, Robbie, Laura and Emer. Well done guys and thanks for your support!

CFI are delighted to announce that entry to the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon is now open and we have highly sought after guaranteed places available. The marathon will take place on 22nd April and will start from Blackheath, near Greenwich and runs through many of the famous London districts and past many landmarks such as the Tower of London, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. CFI would like to wish our team of Paris2Nice cyclists all the best as they depart Dublin this morning to fly to Paris. They will begin cycling from Paris tomorrow and make their way down to Nice in the south of France covering about 700km over a 6 day cycle finishing on Thursday 21st. The team is made up of Enda Greehy, Teddy Otto, Michael Martin and Brian Geoghegan. So far the guys have been doing a fantastic job fundraising with over €16k raised so far. CFI would like to say a big thank you to everyone in the Colourtrend Paints store in Celbridge who recently held a coffee morning in aid of CFI and raised a total of €700. The morning was very well supported by the local community and local companies who donated spot prizes and treats for the event. Well done to all involved. CFI would like to congratulate Hanna O'Connell, PWCF aged 7 who has been nominated and announced as a finalist in the Women's Way Childrens Award 2017! Hanna is a key fundraiser and volunteer for TLC4CF who last year organised her own Juice stand at the Abbeydorney Vintage Fair. She also helped with the registration and bucket collection for the recent Kerry Rose Truck Run in Tralee. Following in the footsteps of her parents, Marisa and Declan, CF Advocates in Kerry, Hanna is passionate about raising awareness of cystic fibrosis. The winner of the Women's Way Awards will be announced on Friday. Good luck Hanna from everyone in CFI!

Congratulations to Jillian Mc Nulty who today received a Hidden Heroes Award in the Triumph over Adversity category in recognition of her work campaigning for Orkambi and support of CFI over the past 20 years. Jillian is a fantastic CF Ambassador and thoroughly deserving of this award. Thank you Jillian!

A reminder to members that the Exercise Grant opens on Monday, September 11th. Application forms can be downloaded from the website, www.cfireland.ie Exercise and physical fitness is of extreme importance for individuals with cystic fibrosis. Not only is it a natural form of chest physiotherapy that increases lung capacity and facilitates airway clearance, it is also instrumental for enhancing the quality of life. The Exercise Grant is a support for members of CF Ireland to alleviate the financial burden on individuals and families with CF, and to encourage and facilitate PWCF to increase their physical fitness. It has been just over three months since the 2017 VHI Women's Mini Marathon took place. Once again congratulations and thank you to all those who took part as part of Team One in 1,000 for Cystic Fibrosis. A "Lucky One in 1,000 Raffle" took place today for all participants who raised €100 or more for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland through their participation in the Mini Marathon and the results are as follows: 1st Prize - €200 Sunway Holiday Voucher; Monica Middleton C/O Midlands Team 2nd Prize - One night Stay Bed & Breakfast in the Harcourt Hotel; Emma Tyrell 3rd Prize - Lindt Chocolate Hamper; Jennifer Doyle from Wicklow 4th Prize - €50 Dunnes Stores Voucher; Mary Mc Bride from Monaghan 5th Prize - €50 Penneys Voucher; Linda Salmon from Mayo 6th Prize - €50 Penneys Voucher; Mary Mc Garry from Leitrim 7th Prize - Dream Pamper Hamper; Anne Mc Sherry from Dublin A huge congratulations to the winners and once again thank you to everyone who took part on the day. CFI would like to say a massive thanks to everyone at BodyWorx Gym in Carrick on Suir who recently held a charity 'Lip Sync Battle' fundraising night and raised a fantastic total of €5,210. Special thanks to Dermot Keyes and all his friends who helped to organise the event and to those who bought tickets and attended on the night.

Good luck to the cast and crew of Riverdance as they come to the end of their 11 week run at the Gaiety Theatre tonight. CF Ireland are delighted to have been selected as the Charity Partner for Riverdance 2017 and would like to thank Riverdance for their support during their summer run at the Gaiety which included a 12 hour Riverdanceathon, a PWCF performer in the show, a dedicated opening night and collections throughout the run in aid of CFI. The fundraising efforts and awareness created through this partnership has made a huge difference to the CF Community in Ireland.
