Setting...

The farmhouse is in a peaceful rural setting in unspoilt countryside and is convenient to several deserted pebble shores on the banks of Mulroy Bay and also to the beautful beaches of the Atlantic. The farmhouse is on a semi elevated site with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside of farmland and hills with cows and sheep grazing.  This is an actual working farm that is only separated by a fence..  so this is the real deal.  The surrounding land is both farmed and uncultivated with whin bushes, rocks and bogland. Nearby are lakes, mountains and hills. Opportunity for freshwater fishing and angling.

Fanad...

The Fanad peninsula is scenic with hills, mountains, lakes, cliffs, deserted seashores, Ballymastoker blue flag beach and the rugged Atlantic coastline. There are many quiet country roads and hedged country lanes to enjoy walking or cycling.  In fact, the road that the farm is on is practically a private driveway...  there are only 3 other properties that use it for access. Fanad is a small farming and fishing community with several small hamlets of church, grocery store, restaurant and pub. The Fanad peninsula is one of Ireland's few remaining Gaeltacht areas where the Irish language and culture is preserved. A few minutes drive away is the newly constructed bridge over Mulroy Bay giving easy access to the Rosguil peninsula. There is an 18 hole golf links at Portsalon and a surf school. There is horseriding close by.
