Why x-rays are necessary. From the photo below you can see that the tooth looks fine to the naked eye but on closer inspection you can see the decay in between the teeth. These spots of decay may be missed at your annual examination unless x-rays are taken. X-rays also pick up on any infections at the tip of your roots or in your gums, decay under any fillings or to help us see any bone loss you may have (just to name a few). Don't delay with tooth decay :D #WhenYouSmileWeSmile.

Remember guys it is always important to floss at least once a day to keep your mouth feeling clean and healthy. By avoiding this you are missing at least 35% of food and plaque that has built up during the day. This can lead to a number of things, tooth decay and gum infections to name a few. Don't delay, clean today :D #WhenYouSmileWeSmile

Whether your teeth are decayed from fizzy drinks or sugary foods, fillings are required to restore the teeth in order to prevent root canals or extractions of your teeth. Not only do they prevent you from losing any teeth, composite (white) fillings in particular can make your teeth look natural and give cosmetic improvements to your smile. Don't delay with tooth decay :D #WhenYouSmileWeSmile

Today is National Daffodil Day supporting Irish Cancer Society. The staff here at Dennehys Cross Dental Care will be purchasing our own bunch of Daffodils, I hope ye all do too :D Do you know that when you book an examination with us we also include an oral cancer screening as part of your check-up. You can see from the photo below which areas (soft tissues) we examine. Early detection can be vital so an annual examination is necessary for the health of your mouth. #WhenYouSmileWeSmile
