2015 Scottish Social Enterprise Census Recognising Social Enterprise as a Partner in the Economy The 2015 Scottish Social Enterprise Census was undertaken as a collaborative project between a group of agencies with a shared interest in promoting social enterprise in Scotland. Key goals of the project included building a comprehensive understanding of social enterprise activity and assessing its contribution. Evidence from the report is now being used by partners to shape an agreed vision for guiding the development of the sector and to ensure that the conditions exist for it to continue to flourish. We were delighted to host Minister Michael Ring T.D. at Speedpak on Tuesday 12th September where he announced the development of a National Policy on Social Enterprise. This is a major initiative to support and develop the sector and involved the establishment of a Steering Group comprising experienced social enterprise practitioners and representatives of a variety of government departments.
