A delegation from Clonakilty will visit Waldaschaff in 2017 and anyone interested in travelling as part of this group should contact any of our committee. The visit will centre around the Waldaschaff Kerb Festival 8th to 11th September 2017 and it is expected that most of the group will travel with Aer Lingus from Cork to Dusseldorf on 6th September and return on 13th September.

Our programme for the day kicks off at 2.00 p.m. with Concert by the Clonakilty Brass Band at Astna Square. Entrants for parade assemble at 2.15 www.clontwinning.com Must see parade of every make of Ford car that has ever taken part in West Cork Rally from Mark I Escort to Fiesta R5 at 2.30 p.m. followed by a parade of vintage cars & tractors from West Cork. 3.00p.m. Clonakilty St Patrick's Day Parade with main marching band Cork Butter Exchange Brass & Reed Band After the parade there is a Kiddies Disco at the Emmet Hotel, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Clonakilty will entertain from the reviewing stand at Pearse Street and there are loads of musical events in pubs & hotels in the town. Clonakilty St. Patrick's Day programme begins at 2pm At 2.30 p.m. and in conjunction with the West Cork Rally, there will be a parade of every make of Ford car that has ever taken part in the rally. Cars taking part will range from the Mark I Escort to the present-day Fiesta R5 to celebrate 40 years of the West Cork Rally and 100 years of Ford in Ireland. Vintage enthusiasts are well catered for this year as the Ford cars will be followed by a parade of vintage cars and tractors from West Cork

Clonakilty Credit Union will again be the main sponsors of Clonakilty St Patrick's Day Parade which will take place on Friday 17th March at 3.00p.m. This will be the 23nd consecutive Parade organised by Clonakilty Town Twinning Association. Theme: pretty much anything goes..... The Theme this year is Cultural / Musical / Colour but not necessarily, so basically anything goes. Entry is free: - simply email details of your entry to clontwinning@gmail.com or complete entry form which can be obtained from the Town Hall or O'Neill's Sports on Wolfe Tone Street. Route will be the same as normal from Faxbridge to Western Road and floats should assemble in the Ashe Street Car Park at 2.15 p.m. Further info www.clontwinning.com
