Golden Crystal
Description
Golden Crystal is hand-made and painted with 24 carat gold from Slovakia TRADITION OF THE REGION
In the first decades of the 19th century extraction and processing of silica sand was introduced in the north of Novohrad in Slovakia for the first time.Glassmaking furnaces gradually shifted from
the production of flat glass towards more artistic production of hollow and cut glass.
Ancient masters gained recognition for it not
only at home, but globally too. Mainly awards from the Universal World Exposition in Vienna brought the significant number of orders. The increasing popularity of local glass production brought life
and prosperity into these wild hilly areas. Water from the rivers was used as an energy source for the glass factories. New settlements emerged around them, where education, infrastructure and other crafts developed... The tradition has survived to this day as
upper Novohrad has remained best-known
for its production of cut glass. We are proud to say that now is the only major company of this kind in the region. Following the tradition we maintain transmitting the same spectacular beauty of the original patterns into modern times...
