Yoda is Home!!! Marie has written "Thank you all for your help with our search. We thankfully found him this morning. Unfortunately he has been hit by a car and has a broken jaw, he's severely dehydrated and very weak. He's in safe hands with our vet who is going to rewire his jaw tomorrow when he gets his strength back. Heart of Ireland Animal Rescue wants to thank everyone for their support and interest/sharing and supportive comments. Our warmest regards go to Marie and her family in Ballinrobe and hope that Yoda has a speedy recovery returning to the loving family who have missed him so much.

Bring Yoda Home. Please try and bring him home. Our fear is that he has been stolen as he really is a very beautiful cat. I hope you can help. My beautiful 6 year old Male cat has gone missing. Would you be able to keep a watch out for him incase someone drops him into your shelter? He is neutered, microchipped and fully up to date with his vaccinations so he is in perfect health. He is very distinctive looking with long fluffy white hair, has a black tail, two black spots at the base of his ears, a black cheek and 2 black spots on his side. His name is Yoda. Please try and bring him home back to Ballinrobe. Marie Glynn. My contact number is 0879487297

WAS AN URGENT APPEAL A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO RESPONDED AND THE VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE OFFERED WASHING MACHINES AN DRYERS. Heart of Ireland Animal Rescue is extremely grateful as we will now have machines dedicated for the dogs and cats separately. (Just received two offers of washing machines and dryers which we will arrange to collect next week) Heart of Ireland Animal Rescue's washing machine & dryer have died after several years of very hard usage washing cat and dog bedding. The last machine was donated by a lovely family who changed their machine a couple of years ago and has given fantastic service for needy animals. The dryer lasted nearly 4 years and the washing machine about 2 years. Animal bedding, hair and dirt plays havoc with the inner workings of washing machines and dryers wearing out the workings at a very rapid rate. With winter coming and the public washing machines outside Supervalu and garages not allowing animal bedding to be washed we are seeking secondhand working machines to keep our animals clean dry and warm as the cooler months are getting close. Both ourselves at Heart of Ireland and the animals will be most grateful. We have a trailer and can collect. If you can donate and help please contact us on 087 187 4268 or by Messenger.

Catching up with a recent friend Bruno. It is only a matter of weeks ago that we took in and later homed Bruno and now look at him he has become a healthy and happy dog who is also bringing a great deal of joy to his new carer. He now has bundles of energy and an enthusiasm for life that just didn't exist when first we met. Since being homed he has continued to gain weight and now has a coat to admire both clear signs of his happiness as you can see from the photo when we first picked him up. This is the result of a good home and a special connection with Ciaran.

Roxy & Roo Roxy is a young cat we were asked to take in along with the last of her kittens Roo who is about twelve weeks old. Roxy has now been spayed and we would love to home both of them together. Roxy is very use to being handled and like most cats appreciates a good head massage - Roo just knows life is fun and is a little rocket with so much energy. Please give them the chance to stay together. If you would like to adopt these two please contact us on 087.187.4268.

A new home for Murphy We have been asked to find a new home for Murphy, a handsome four year old tabby. He is an affectionate cat use to being the centre of attention. He is use to the countryside and a rambling garden so we love to see him in a similar environment. If you could give Murphy a new home please call us on 087.187.4268.

Radar is happily at home following his visit to the vet for neutering today. This was the first car journey since his pound visit and he showed so much nervousness in the car. We are so happy to have him back with us, we hope he is too. His sign training is coming on slowly but given his young age we have much puppy pouncing to factor in! His new found confidence is great to see.
